Skye's Grapefruit Sparkler
Bright, bubbly, refreshing — and rediculously easy to make.

A refreshing alcohol-free drink with real grapefruit juice and plenty of bubbles.
Sometimes the simplest drinks are the best. My Grapefruit Sparkler has become one of my favorite alcohol-free drinks, and it couldn’t be easier to make. Just combine sparkling water with grapefruit juice, pour it over ice, and enjoy. The bright, slightly tart flavor of grapefruit and the refreshing carbonation make this a wonderful alternative to wine, beer, or your favorite mixed drink. And unlike many traditional cocktails, you don’t need special equipment, expensive ingredients, or a complicated recipe.I first discovered how much I enjoyed grapefruit sparkling water when I started drinking Spindrift. Eventually, I realized I could make my own version at home, adjusting the amount of grapefruit juice to suit my taste. What I love most is that it doesn’t feel like I’m settling for a substitute. I genuinely prefer the flavor. It’s crisp, refreshing, and satisfying, whether I’m relaxing at the end of the day, sitting outside on a warm afternoon, or simply wanting something delicious to drink. Sometimes a good drink really is just a good drink—and this is one of my favorites.

Make It Special
Part of what makes drinking alcohol apealing isn’t necessarily the alcohol itself. It’s the experience! A beautiful wine glass, a colorful drink, a slice of citris on the rim, or simply the feeling of holding something special in your hand. We’ve learned to associate these little rituals with relaxation, celebration, and treating ourselves. But there’s no reason alcohol should have a monopoly on any of that.
So get out your pretty stemware! our your sparkling water into a wine glass. Add a slice of grapefruit, a spring of mint, or a few fresh berries. And when you’re out at a restaurant, don’t hesitate to ask for you sparkling water or other alcohol-free drinkk in a wine glass. You deserve the same lovely presentation as everyone else at the table.
What I Use
A soda maker such as SodaStream or DrinkMate makes it easy to have fresh sparkling water whenever you want it. Add your favorite juice after carbonating.
