Cinnamon Maple Latte

A warm hug in your favorite coffee mug.

Maple Cinnamon Latte

A Little About This Drink

Some drinks are made for slowing down. A warm mug in your hands, a comfortable chair, and a few quiet minutes can make even the busiest day feel a little more manageable. Cinnamon Maple Latte is one of those drinks. It combines the familiar comfort of coffee with the warmth of cinnamon and the gentle sweetness of real maple syrup.

What I particularly like about this combination is that it feels special without being overly sweet. The maple syrup adds a rich, mellow flavor, while the cinnamon brings just enough spice to make things interesting. Add some warm, frothy milk, and you’ve got a cozy coffeehouse drink that’s easy to make at home. It’s especially lovely on a chilly morning, but there’s certainly no rule that says you have to wait for cold weather to enjoy it.

THE RECIPE

Prep: 5 minutes | Makes: 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso (about 2 oz) or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • ¾ cup milk or favorite milk alternative
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Tiny splash of alcohol-free vanilla flavoring (optional)
  • Extra cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew the espresso or strong coffee and pour it into your favorite mug.
  2. Stir in the maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla flavoring, if using.
  3. Warm the milk in a small saucepan or microwave until steaming but not boiling.
  4. Froth the warm milk using a milk frother or whisk.
  5. Slowly pour the milk over the coffee, spooning the foam on top.
  6. Finish with a light sprinkle of cinnamon.

Make It Your Own

Try oat milk for a particularly creamy latte, or substitute almond milk for a lighter version. If you love warm spices, add a tiny pinch of nutmeg or cardamom. You can also adjust the maple syrup to suit your taste. For a caffeine-free evening treat, use decaf coffee or espresso.

Make It Special

Choose a beautiful ceramic mug like these popular Ava Nord Stoneware ceramic mugs. Take an extra minute to froth the milk until it’s light and creamy. Sprinkle cinnamon over the foam, or use a small stencil to create a heart or star on top. Pair your latte with a good book, a cozy blanket, and a few minutes when you don’t have to be anywhere else. Sometimes the presentation is as much about the moment as it is about the drink.

What I Use

A simple milk frother makes it easy to add creamy foam and a little coffeehouse magic to your favorite drinks.
